New Restaurant Alert - Silo, Hackney Wick

World's first Zero Waste Chef, Douglas McMaster, has moved from Brighton to London. Although Brighton has allowed him to bring his crazy concept into life, the diners were not completely ready for his 'trash is for tossers' attitude. The clientele in Hackney Wick will definitely be impressed with the honest and raw approach to cooking in Silo. The restaurant in London is based in the White Building, just shoulder to shoulder with CRATE brewery. Apart from the almost 'zero' mileage beer served in Silo, McMaster has invited no one other than Ryan Chetiyawardana (known as Mr. Lyan) to create the cocktail program for the restaurant. McMaster had a jump start in sustainability so his product sourcing and waste management are far ahead others who follow the eco path.
