Black Axe Mangal has been around for quite a while, has been spoken loudly about over and over again, and is still booked out if you wanted hit the place spontaneously. Lee Tiernan and his heavy metal approach in cooking is still unrivalled. Actually many share opinion the food gets better and better. Starting in 2015 with mostly Turkish inspired cooking, Tiernan now reaches out to different parts of the world for inspiration and things he serves on stainless steel serving plates, plastic baskets, cheap wooden bowls scream out as loud as Kiss on stage. The flavour combinations, the use of offal and other uncommon ingredients make the food being so unique to Tiernan style we wouldn’t be surprised if he finally gets recognised by one of the industry’s most influential judges and finally being awarded with something important.
